It was still early morning, and the old village of daliyabui was fast asleep in the desert. This is a mysterious settlement hidden in the “belly button” of the taklamakan desert, completely isolated from the rest of the world. Even in today’s developed network information, this village is still little known.
Taklamakan desert is the largest desert in China, the tenth largest desert in the world, and the second largest floating desert in the world. The desert is about 1,000 kilometers long from east to west and 400 kilometers wide from north to south. It covers an area of 330,000 square kilometers and is known as the “sea of death.” And in this silent desert of death, there is still a human settlement: daliyabui.
Although it has been spotted by several explorers throughout history, dariabue became known to the outside world in the 1950s. With the discovery of more ancient ruins, the mystery of daliyabue is also quickly solved in the process. It was once called “tungusbazit”, which is as famous as loulan ruins and jiaohe old city. & have spent
I was surprised by the fact that the local people wore traditional clothes (women wear). I saw the shadow of Taoist culture. However, due to the fact that dariaburi is so strange to the world, and dariaburi has given so little information to the world, it has not been recorded in this settlement for nearly 1,000 years. According to the search, it has disappeared in the history books for more than 2,000 years. Therefore, my understanding of dariabooi’s clothing culture is almost blank, but combined with Taoist clothing, there is a convergence between the two. However, this is only my personal guess, can not be sure.
Since daliaburi village was known to the outside world, the civilized society has further explored the original trace, the race, the population, the physiology, the ethics, the society, the archaeology, the genetic parents for a hundred years investigation research, but to its origin, the bloodline and the composition has not been a definite conclusion. All we know is that the locals call themselves “creyas.”
For generations, the dariyaboois, nomads who lived along the Banks of the river kriya, lived in simple houses, usually made of poplar branches and smeared with thin mud, and their roofs were covered with reeds and glowed with light. Almost every family has a small yard, the yard is known as “desert ginseng,” said the big yun.
Due to the lack of desert resources, the daliyabui people have no land for farming except nomadism. However, besides nomadism, they often dig under the roots of tamarisk trees, which is another kind of life for the local people. Big yun is a kind of very rare desert Chinese medicinal herbs, the history of the western countries as a gong court treasures. Many visitors here will buy some to take home, it is said to make soup special supplement.
Yes, as tourism has grown, the once-isolated village has become a magnet for photographers and tourists, not just archeologists and explorers. Many villagers have changed their houses into hostels for tourists to sleep in and eat in. Despite the poor conditions and no hot water for washing, this is the warmest and best hotel in the desert for tourists.
On the night we arrived at the village, the four girls stayed in one of the best hotels in the area. Although we slept in all the beds, the environment and conditions were beyond my imagination. Because I have been to Everest base camp three times, I have been accustomed to the environment in datongpu. But I didn’t expect dariabue’s shop to be so clean and fresh. Guess which girl is me?
Near the entrance to the village there was one or two small shops which sold things that were brought in from the outside. It is said that in the past, when there were no vehicles, the creyas relied on camels and donkeys to transport their necessities, and a trip to the village would take at least eight days.
Families with good economic conditions would go to the county town and buy a motorcycle to replace the camel and donkey. Most of the off-road vehicles in and out of the village are customized photo tour groups. Today, the dariaboois are moving out of the desert and into new houses along the road. But still some people, still choose to live in the desert hinterland, guard this piece of desert.
It is known to the world for only a century. It has been called the oasis of “paradise” by Chinese and foreign archaeological explorers. I, on the other hand, have the satisfaction of being able to come once in my life. It is one of the most rewarding destinations of my trip to xinjiang.
