NetSnips – Track snippets of your favorite web pages on iPhone and iPad

NetSnips, the popular productivity app for creating snippets from web pages, has just received a major update. With the universal app for iPhone and iPad users can track their favorite web pages visually with so-called web snippets. NetSnips updates all snippets regularly, which allows following content changes of any web page. This visual approach of following web pages is unique on the App Store.

The use case for this app is very broad. NetSnips can be used for local weather, stocks, auctions, news, daily cartoons, sport results, the current cinema program or anything else that could be found on the web.

The new update (version 3.1) is one of the biggest updates ever. It adds landscape support, including the possibility for defining snippets in landscape and portrait orientation. Moreover it was optimized for the larger screens of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, includes a brand new app icon, visual improvements and many usability tweaks.

Adding a new web snippet is easy. Just head to a web page with the in-app browser, select to your preferred web page area by scrolling and zooming with your fingertips and hit the add button. In this way it’s possible to create a personalized wall of information from different web sources. Staying up-to-date was never easier.

NetSnips 3.1 is now available for free on the App Store under the “Productivity” category. The free version allows adding up to 2 web snippets. An in-app purchase for $3.99 unlocks the possibility for adding unlimited snippets and removes all ads.
