KitCamera Updates Dynamic Photo & Video App to Add Pro Quality Features

Developer Sebastian Short has released a new update for the popular photography and video app KitCamera, which is available now on the App Store for $1.99. The app features multiple filters and effects for shooting photos and video, offering format and editing options that allow them to be uploaded and used universally. The newest version includes improved speed and quality, as well as the addition of a “crystal” lens that adds blue chromatic effects at the edges of the image.

KitCamera gives users a more professional quality approach compared to cameras and recording devices that come standard on phones and tablets. Users can shoot photos and videos in full HD, with effects in real time mode. Additionally, users can remove effects after shots are taken without compromising the quality. Specific adjustments can also be made to focus and video resolution while capturing footage or photos to achieve accurate, desired results.

“Mobile automatically opens up the opportunity to capture and records rare moments quickly,” said Sebastian Short. “Unfortunately, when it comes to perfecting, altering or transferring content, factory apps have a hard time doing so without compromising some of the quality in the process. Our app is a great tool for people who desire a more professional look to the final product.”

When users find themselves in the editing stages, they have the ability to adjust JPEG compression to prevent uploading issues and avoid editing outside of the app. KitCamera can display a preview of EXIF metadata with histogram by each specific channel to perfect the smallest details. After users settle on a finished product, they have access to auto sharing and saving places such as Dropbox, Flickr, Google Drive and more.

“Most photo apps are built around convenience and the capability to capture a quick shot,” said Short. “We figured that people shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality in the process of getting photos on the go.”

Features:
* In app editing
* Multiple filters and effects
* Auto sharing and saving features
* Adjustable jpeg compression
* Adjustable video resolution in real time while shooting videos
* White balance and exposure setting in real time
* HD video recording

KitCamera 3.0.1 is available for $1.99 to download through the iTunes App Store, in the Photo & Video category.

Printer For MS Office Lets You Print Anything from your iPhone or iPad

iApp Technologies has released a gorgeously designed app that makes it possible to print almost any file directly from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, including Microsoft Office and iWork documents. In fact, Printer for MS Office Documents does much more than the app’s title suggests, serving as a central place to store and print files, zipped mail attachments, and web pages. It even offers an unlimited clipboard manager for texts and links. By converting a wide range of formats into PDF, the app allows anyone to share or print virtually anything directly from an iOS device.

“The iPhone holds an amazing amount of information across hundreds of apps on our phones, but when you want to print something as simple as an instant message conversation or a Microsoft Word document, that data seems trapped inside the screen,” explains iApp Technologies lead designer Pradeep Singh. “Printer For MS Office Documents allows you to take all those files and print them on paper right from your iPhone.”

The app does much more than liberate Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents to the physical world. It can unzip and unrar mail attachments that the built-in Mail app cannot open, and then rename, copy, and print the documents. Printer also integrates with all major cloud services, including iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, Sky Drive, and Evernote. Additionally, it can connect to a PC or Mac over a local Wi-Fi network or iTunes sharing.

Printer also comes with a universal, unlimited clipboard manager that stores a complete list of text and links copied from any app on the user’s device. This feature alone is guaranteed to save users plenty of hassle, and serves as a quick way to store notes without interrupting the flow of a browsing session in Safari or Mail.

“Never again will you have to leave the app you’re using just to save a note,” says Singh. “Just copy any link or text as you browse your email or the web, and know that it’s saved for you to use any time in Printer.”

The app comes with built-in functionality to open and print documents from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, RTF, web pages, email and email attachments, photos, text messages, contacts, and more. Its attractive and colorful interface makes all functionality available in just a tap. Users can download the app now exclusively on the iTunes App Store.

Printer For MS Office Documents 1.0 is currently $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category.

WritePad 7.4 Features Improved Handwriting Recognition and Note-Taking

PhatWare Corporation, leading professional software and application developer, today is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of WritePad 7.4, the significantly improved version of the popular handwriting recognition and note-taking app for iPads. WritePad 7.4 now improves note-taking experience and includes all eleven supported languages with the app price in addition to a reduced application size.

WritePad 7.4 is designed to deliver considerably faster note-taking by offering multiple suggestions for words and phrases as notes are taken in the user’s own handwriting. As a user writes anywhere on the screen or in a designated area, alternative recognition results and word completions are presented in a scrollable suggestion bar next to the text, allowing a user to select an alternative result if the initial translation of the handwriting is incorrect.

To further speed-up and simplify the process of taking notes on the iPad, spell-checker suggestions are presented to a user in real-time when the text cursor is positioned on a misspelled word.
In addition to providing users with more features, WritePad also delivers more value. The app now comes with all eleven supported languages included, rather than requiring an in-app purchase to obtain additional languages. WritePad’s size has also been reduced by 30%, providing more features with less space requirements.

“I used [WritePad] to write two of my novels – The Jaws of Life and The Lazarus Serum. It’s a word processor that lets you write your books by hand rather than by keyboard on your screen. It has built-in handwriting recognition that will translate your scribbles (even cursive) into neatly typed words.” – Fallon Jones, author

About WritePad:
WritePad, an advanced note-taker for iOS, converts practically any handwriting into computer text. Notes created with WritePad can be sent via email or SMS, tweeted, saved, posted on Facebook, printed, exported as PDF, translated to other languages, synchronized with major computing cloud services, and exchanged directly between two or more iOS devices. WritePad also features integration with the iPhone’s or iPad’s Events, Contacts, Maps, and other apps.

With WritePad, users can:
* Create and edit text documents while using the advanced handwriting recognition engine or the iPad keyboard for text entry
* Improve handwriting recognition quality with WritePad’s Statistical Analyzer, which learns and adapts to the user’s handwriting style
* Email, Tweet, print, and post Facebook updates directly from WritePad
* Synchronize WritePad documents with Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox, Evernote, Box, Microsoft OneDrive, and iTunes

Productivity app CatchApp connects managers to the pulse of their team

CatchApp, the easiest way to catch up with everything your team is working on, is now available in the App Store. Managers, freelancers, and anyone involved in teamwork spend a large part of their day on coordination and tracking. However, it’s really hard to keep an overview when work is spread out across different apps and includes multiple people. CatchApp makes this very easy by creating reports on recent team activity automatically.

CatchApp is a newsfeed for work. With lists the user can filter what is shown based on chosen criteria. These would include certain tags, folders, notebooks, etc. Lists provide a way to organize tracking for different projects. CatchApp sends push notifications for any new update on a list. This can be toggled on or off per list.

CatchApp focusses on productivity apps used by small and medium sized companies. It integrates with more than 15 apps for multiple use cases, such as file management (Dropbox, Google Drive, Box), task management (Trello, Pivotal Tracker), office (Google Calendar, Evernote), and development (Github, Bitbucket). There’s even support for Twitter to monitor tweets from a certain account or a defined search term. To integrate other apps there is a universal RSS plug.

Hojoki’s CEO Martin Bohringer explains, “We realized that there was a fast-growing and very active group of people using Hojoki to monitor what their team has been up to recently. They found that Hojoki’s newsfeed worked great for them. With CatchApp we’ve given them their own app that is purpose built for their needs.”

CatchApp 1.0 is freely available worldwide via the App Store. CatchApp’s pricing is based on the number of updates you receive. Each month the first 100 updates are free, which is enough for most users. Additional updates can be bought in packages from the app store, starting at 99c. There is also a referral program that gives you free bonus updates each month.

Curator – visual notes for iPad, re-imagining the notebook for tablets

Curator & Co today released Curator for iPad described as a ‘moodboard for ideas’ and ‘Pinterest for productivity’. Curator is a tablet-first tool that enables a visual workflow for creatives. Add and organise images, text and live websites with Curator’s completely visual interface tailor made for the iPad. Get your images from cloud sources like Dropbox, Google Drive, Flickr and Instagram instantly, addressing increasing content fragmentation for users.

“When the iPad became my primary device I quickly grew frustrated with fragmentation of content across different apps and cloud services, despite it being the perfect digital notebook device. I wanted to see and organise the fragments of emerging ideas, regardless of them being images, websites or text and where these were saved. This simple but obvious need proved hard to satisfy. There wasn’t an ‘app for that’, so I decided to build it myself” – says Daniel Nordh, Architect and Founder of Curator.

Curator is a new type of ‘visual productivity’ or ‘creativity’ app for designers and visual thinkers. It’s the first iPad app that helps users see and interact with their ideas by mixing content like websites and images together. Curator lets you touch and drag content to organise it by color or whatever makes sense to you. Why organise visual content by date or name?

“Designers and creatives connect much faster with images rather than navigating lists or searching by keyword. The creative process is dependent on collecting, synthesizing and communicating ideas quickly and Curator is made for this kind of ‘visual thinking’. Organising things by date or name made little sense to me. I wanted to simply place things in a grid, creating meaning by its location relative to other content, much like in a city” – says Daniel Nordh, Architect and Founder of Curator.

From the first fragments of an idea to presentation, Curator is ‘re-imagining the notebook for tablets’. Curator aims to become an operating system for the creative process and has received high profile interest;

“We loved the app, it’s really cool.” – said Paul Graham of Silicon Valley startup incubator Y Combinator after using Curator.

Curator Features
* Add websites, images and text notes in a visual interface
* Use drag-and-drop to move content, make your own order
* Present straight from the app, full screen content by design
* Work with many projects at once

Curator 1.0.1 is Free with in-app purchases and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category.
