Tibet, a place full of mystery, is a place that everyone yearns for, and a place of pilgrimage for many people all their lives. For an ordinary ordinary people, most of us yearn for it: sacred mountains, sacred lakes, temples, pagodas, all the way devout body long head.
However, the whole Tibet leaves behind not only the magic of nature and religious belief, but also a cultural treasure house, which combines the origin of Tibetan civilization, nature worship, religious development, daily life, eating habits, dynasties, customs and so on, and forms the secret code of Tibet that we yearn for today.
But what can we see most directly in Tibet? Look at the mountain, look at the water, look at the tower, look at the people. There are many mountains in xizang, large and small countless, the most famous to the number of Mount Qomolangma and kailinboqi, the peak tourist season every year, to Mount Qomolangma base camp and ali tuoshan tourists many, even some people are specialized to ali tuoshan, after the end of the journey directly leave.
To the world, Everest seems to be a holy place for everyone, both tourists and climbers. It has become one of the most extreme adventures to challenge nature and conquer ourselves. Only at the foot of mount kailash can one see countless figures and steps of devotion.
We often say “mount kailash”, but rarely “Mount Qomolangma”. Of course, Tibet’s mountains are far more than these two. In the eyes of tibetans, every snow mountain in Tibet is sacred and every sacred mountain is awesome.
But the water in xizang is more popular, especially the holy lake under the snow mountains, which provides people with a kind of spiritual comfort. The three lakes of yamzhuo yong cuo, namcuo and mapanyong are arranged most in the itinerary of tourists, among which namcuo is the most beautiful scenery, and it is also the most famous.
For those in a hurry, you can skip mount Everest and mount rinpoche, but you can’t miss namco. Since yamdrok is included in the day trip to namco, the two lakes are far better known than mannamco, mainly due to the distance difference.
In the eyes of many people, they are no longer interested in other lakes in namtso. There are many holy lakes and they will get tired after a long time.
Where there are mountains and waters, there will also be pagodas. Some people say that people go to Tibet to visit monasteries. Tibet is a holy place of religion. The number of temples is not to be mentioned. In Lhasa alone, there are dozens of large and small temples.
But that doesn’t mean that visiting Tibet is about visiting monasteries. After all, monasteries aren’t the only ones in this cultural treasure house. But there is no denying that Tibet’s monasteries are interesting, for photographers who like to shoot religious culture, monasteries are often the first choice.
The most famous jokhang temple is almost as famous as potala palace, both in the tourist circle and in the eyes of pilgrims. Of course, there is the tashilhunpo temple in xigaze, which can rival the potala palace. But for the primitive flavor, few tourism development is often those unknown temples.
In Tibet, there are temples where there are people, and there are pilgrims where there are temples. No matter in barkhor street or at the foot of lakeside mountain, Tibetan people holding prayer wheels are always so beautiful, which is pure and simple. No matter how ugly the secular view is, in their heart, the world is full of cleanness because of their faith.
“Kekexili” has such a line: “have you ever seen the head of the people? Their faces and hands are dirty, but their hearts are clean.”
This sentence left a deep impression on me, and I went in and out of Tibet repeatedly. It also made me put down more pride and prejudice.
The sunshine and the hearts of the people cannot be directly seen, and the piety of the Tibetan people cannot be seen through the eyes of the secular world. Respect is the best way to get along, no matter it is to meet the curiosity, or for what belief, since come, learn to respect, because the last pure land of human beings not only refers to the natural environment but also the collision of the soul. Therefore, learn to see Tibet, also understand their own.
